To raise awareness of how Dementia and Alzheimer’s are impacting the community, the Prince George’s County (MD) and the Mount Rose (MD) chapters of the links, incorporated and White Rose Foundation INC. sponsored a free community service program with experts in the field. White Rose Foundation President, The honorable Gloria G. Lawlah, kicked off the program presented as a green table talk. She pointed out how important it is to recognize the early signs of these dementia/alzheimer’s in family members and to address the impact on families and the community of the growing numbers of persons with these conditions.

Sharon Allison-Ottey facilitated the panel. panelists were Karyne jones, Stephanie j. Monroe, Marita golden, the honorable Rushern Baker, and Vickki Kalistsi.
